NEWBIE... Post-op... info.. support

Hello all, I am post op from TVH as of 20th May. It went well and slight pain still but nothing to shout about... boredom and "doing nothing" is worse!! I have never had time off in 25 years and it is not going down very well. I am not sure when I can go back to work as lifting is involved... cases of wine and beer. I have good support here with hubby doing the jobs I can't ... but have you seen a man iron!!!! YOU DON@T DO IT LIKE THAT!!! DOH!!! lol lol
I love my car but as yet have not felt confident to drive.
As for "PELVIC FLOOR"" gggrrr hate them as keep forgetting.... am I alone on this one??... any info, help, tips greatly read and followed... but now time for my steady walk around the block.... and maybe "carry" a bar of chocolate back.....great to meet you all/.... just curious ... anyone else here from UK ?? <3

Hi barrelbumm * love that name *

Boredom is my ENEMY too and yes, the hubby and the kids help a lot they NEVER do it to my standard. pah
Hubby must have lived in houses with ROUND corners. tssss

The worst is , I am obesessed with hoovering the house, my bedroom has a dark blue Carpet and you see EVERYTHING on it.
My oldest Son Dom, he is 24, he is home from Uni for the Summer , can not seem to hoover ANY crumbs up.
I HATE HATE HATE seing crumbs on my carpet, I can not relax nor rest when I know there are crumbs.

The other Son Phil , he is 20 and home for the Summer from Uni * is doing the washing up but does not get it that he NEEDS TO DRY the Dishes too.
He just leaves them and than they get those water stains...

The other 2 are not better BUT can I say anything?
NO, because the do help even so it is KILLING me lol.

I hope you and I can start doing our jobs again soon.

As for the heavy lifting of Wine and / or Beer, that will take some more weeks to wait.

Hi barrelbumm
I'm also in England. I'm 9 weeks post op, still having a few issues put pain wise not doing to bad. Just been for my 6 week check this morning (yes after 9 weeks lol) felt it was a bit of a waste of time, I know what you mean about boredom only so much daytime tv you can watch x

Hi ladies,
Good to meet you, just got back from a S l o w.... walk to the shops for my choc fix. it is the ironing for me ... finally told hubby to leave the board up and as my iron is a light one I do a couple of bits then sit down for an hour or so then do a couple more... little and often. I just seem to get a numb bum from sitting down for so long. I love films and knitting but I am even getting fed up of those. AND this is only after 3 weeks god knows what I will be like by 12 weeks !!!! Divorced my hubby says lol lol bless him.xx
The only thing I have noticed is ... I get a sort of "stitch/cramp" on one side of me and didn't know if this was "normal" it is not pain as such ... just uncomfortable . Xx

Hi! I'm from UK. I had my TLVH on 28th May..overall feeling good..internal stitches pulling and itching a bit and do feel tired mid day. I have a recurrent pain on my lower left side which sometimes goes down my left leg. In the first week the horrendous pain of gas and not being able to " do # 2" was worse than labour pains! DON"T think of going back to work and lifting things...you still have lots of healing to do. I know I'm starting to feel better and I still have 4 weeks off work but it is such a 'woman' thing to feel guilty about taking time off work! Good Luck!
