When can I vacuum?

I haven't yet because I was told not to by my doctor, but when I went in for my follow up last week I forgot to ask when it would be ok again. What have the rest of you done and when? Thanks!!!

When can I vacuum?

I'm curious about this too. I don't think I'm ready yet, I am wearing myself out and sleeping very deeply -and- need a nap as it is, with me only doing half of the laundry (family of six) and I'm having one son unload the dishwaher in the morning, and I don't do the after dinner kitchen clean up.
So, how about it? I'm getting tired of dust and fur bunnies multiplying in the corners that my sons and husbands somehow don't notice when they vacuum.

When can I vacuum?

hey! i have found the answer to my deal! we have wood floors. i bought a dustbuster for my 4 y/o. i bought a swiffer for my 7 y/o and my dh mans the vacuum. when dh runs the vac, i send my boys out to be "spotters" for their dad. they also turn on the overhead light for their dad-he didn't seem to think he needed it since the vac has a light on it! LOL! the house isn't as clean as i like it, but we are not choking on dog hair anymore! good luck to you! another lady posted to use the uphostery attatchment and sit while we use it. i haven't done it yet, but it sounds like a good idea!

When can I vacuum?

hmmm.... I think that is one of those things we should never be allowed to do again.

I would call the Dr and ask. Each woman is different and a lot depends on the type of surgery too.

When can I vacuum?

I started at 2 weeks post op, but found that I spotted each time afterward. I stopped and started back up again about 4-5 weeks. Now, mind you, I have a vacuuming fettish...I have gotten better. It used to be at least twice a day (we have hardwood floors, 4 kids, 2 adults, plus 3-6 daycare kids)...now I do it every night.

When can I vacuum?

I just went for my 4 week post op today. My DR gave no restrictions. I will be returning to work in 3 weeks. But there are no other resrictions. So, for me , I guess I can vacuum anytime now. He did warn though to listen to my body. Maybe start with vacuuming one room, not the whole house.

Take Care

When can I vacuum?

Hi there! I tried vacuuming at 3 weeks (just the front entrance of our house cause I couldn't stand it any longer and I was home alone. That was a big mistake, as our vacuum cleaner is a big beast to drag around! I don't think I'll try again for a couple of weeks.....
