Had LSH and my pants don't fit!

I'm almost 7 weeks post op and my pants are tighter in the waist then before the surgery. Does a "swelly belly" also apply to us LSHer's? Even the abdominal binder does not help much. I know I can only blame this on my surgery for so long Just wondering if any of you have had a similar experience. I did have a hard time staying out of the fridge for my 4 week recovery but this weight gain seems more than what I would expect. I did not know if a LSH counts as abdominal surgery because based on what I have read here, this type of swelling is normal for abdominal surgery. Otherwise I'm doing great.

Had LSH and my pants don't fit!

My pants were very tight in the waist also. My husband told me after my suregry that I did not have swelly belly.
He did not have to wear my pants! Men, what do they know anyway.
It will get better.

Had LSH and my pants don't fit!

I could wear my pants 8 days after surgery.
Its been 4 weeks and I am exercising amd losing weight.
I think it just depends on the person..we all heal differently...

Had LSH and my pants don't fit!

I had to buy new stretchy pants to go back to work in. I start off okay, but the more I'm on my feet the bigger my belly gets. My normal pants feel like they're strangling me by the end of my shift. I tried support panties and they just plain hurt by the end of the night. Buy some cheap pants to get you through the swelly belly. It is getting better for me so hopefully it will for you too.

Had LSH and my pants don't fit!

I am 5 weeks post LSH and still get swelly belly especially if I have been on my feet a lot. I have not gained any weight but the clothes are fitting tighter at the end of the day. Staying off my feet and resting seem to help.

Had LSH and my pants don't fit!

I couldn't wear jeans or any close-fitting pants for quite some time, although I didn't gain any weight. Even almost four months later, I find that things bother me around the waist, even if it's loose. I think I got used to wearing pajamas all the time.
