Should I have hubby wait until I am asleep?

Kaz my dh is also acting like it is no big deal. I think it is because he is scared and can't fix this himself. He says if it needs to be done then just do it get it fixed. He will be with me in pre op area. Just know he most likly is as scared as you are if not more. When men don't understand something they don't ask. In my husbands case he dosen't want to know how the "plumbing" I think that scares him more. I really think the moring of the surgery if he knows you are really scared he will step up and be there for you as long as you need him to be.
Good luck

Whatever they gave me in pre op..worked on me. I am 95% sure it was Versed. By the time I got to the OR..They asked me to move over to the operating table and I remember saying..."I'm gonna fall off" and he (aneth.) said "oh no you won't" and that is the LAST memory I have until waking up in recovery. They gave me my epidural and put me under after the Versed!

That versed is incredible stuff. I had to end up waiting two hours until they brought me back. I was teary eyed. My anesthesiologist was very generous with the versed. Two doses then and two more right before they wheeled me back. I couldn't have cared less where my dh was at that point. Really.
