Itchy Incision area

I had my total abdominal hysterectomy Sept 10, 2009. I have been experiencing an itchiness around and on my incision site for the last little while but just the past few day it has become alittle worse. Has anyone else experienced this. Is it just the healing process? Happy new year to everyone.

I just got home from hospital yesterday, and I am also experiencing itchyness, the Dr. said it was normal. The skin and muscle tissues are healing good if its itching. I have also been experiencing slight burning on both sides of abdomen. They said that will also subside in time. Hang in there, your not alone.

I had my SAH BSO (horizontal abdominal incision) in late October and the incision has started itching this past week. Weird feeling because the skin above and below is numb but the incision itself itches. From what I remember from my previous c-sections (x3), this is part of the normal healing process - it's just maddening!

I had TAH on October 28th and I have been experiencing ongoing itching at the incision site. I expect it must be part of the healing process but it sure is annoying.
