Doctors Appointment

Sister, had a LAVH on March 15 2005, I go back to the doctor next week. What kind of exam will he do to me.... Will he hurt me? I am so afraid that it will hurt when he checks me down there.. Thanks for any answer I get...

I had a vaginal exam at 3 weeks and it was not painful at all. He was verrry gentle. Checked my three little punctures and that was it. Don't worry.

I had an exam at 4 weeks and it wasn't as bad as I expected. It didn't hurt. He checked to make sure everything was healing. Good luck. Try to remember to relax during the exam.

I had LAVH on 3/16. Went for a 2 wk check last week. Only my incision sites were checked and she just pressed on my tummy a bit. It didn't hurt though. She told me she won't do an internal check until 6 wks. I'm sure she won't do anything that hurts you!

Ditto on the little LAVH booboo sites check, the tummy rub, and told me the path results and a question and answer session. I, too, dreaded the internal, which was at one day shy of 6wks, and guess what????? Fullinternal-with the speculum, and no pain!!!!! It was nothing,m then he did the internal feel with the finger on the inside and the hand on the belly checking and still nothing!!!!! I had myself so worked up abut it I had the diahrrea that day up until the appointment-for NOTHING!!!! He said I looked great, healed fast, and I could GO FOR IT!!!! Waited till Friday night and WENT FOR IT and guess what???? THAT was fine, too, although the next time IT will be much better now that I know that IT won't hurt, either!!!! Thank goodness for a patient and loving DH to be so tender, that I finally relaxed and before I knew it, IT was over for him, so we cuddled ourselves to sleep-next time IT will be all about ME!!!!! LOL-relax and all will be fine!!!
