3 months post op, kept ovaries but breasts hurt & hate my husband all the time!

Had my RAVH end of April and everything has gone fairly smoothly. I assumed my ovaries "woke up" as I don't have insomnia, hot flashes, etc.

My lingering problem, however, is that I feel like I have PMS all the time! My breasts are sore, I'm snapping at everyone and I can't get my eating under control.

I'm hoping you will tell me to give it time and that it takes a while for everything to settle down? Either that or direct my sweet husband to a good divorce attorney!

Any guidance?

Re: 3 months post op, kept ovaries but breasts hurt & hate my husband all the time!

Your hormonal needs have changed a lot since losing your uterus. Your body has probably not figured out what the heck happened! It may take awhile for it to figure out how much you need now. If it doesn't you talk to your dr and he/she may be able to give you a low dose of hrt.

Re: 3 months post op, kept ovaries but breasts hurt & hate my husband all the time!

I'm six weeks out, and I feel the same way. I hope it gets better. Plus I am usually not a person who cries, and the dumbest things make me cry lately. I feel bad for my husband. I told him the other day I didn't know what was wrong with me, and I hated being touched. By anyone. I freaked the other day at work. It was my second day back and some one gave me a hug, and I hated it. I hope your doing better. This has to end soon right?
