Nausated ? post-op 2nd day

I know that it is so soon, but I feel so nausated right now. Is there something I can take for it or do?

Nausated ? post-op 2nd day

I would ask your doctor. I was in the hospital 2nd day post op and still on a liquid diet and morphine pump. I can't even remember if I was nauseated.

Nausated ? post-op 2nd day

I was nauseous from the morphine. They switched me to the percocet. I think there is something they can give you for the nausea. The percocet made me nauseous too.

You can also be nauseous from the anesthesia in your system. Your Dr can prescribe something to help with that. Plz call your Dr asap.

(((((Sharisse)))))

I'm sorry you're feeling nauseated. I was on a liquid diet on my second day and then I was only able to tolerate light, and bland meals afterward.

I would not recommend taking any medications without your Doctor's approval. A sea sickness band from your local drug store may help without the possible complication of poly-pharmaceutical drug interactions.

If you are unable to hold down clear liquids, or start to run a fever contact your surgical center right away.

I hope you feel better.

That's a horrible feeling but it does pass quickly. I felt like that on second day and then was actually sick that night and was fine after that. Don't think there is a quick fix, it's just anaesthesia working through the system. Try plain foods and liquids only. I also found all smells and tastes were exaggerated and I couldn't stand the smell of things that I had previously found pleasant like soap etc. It does pass quite quickly. Good luck
