Third week questions????

Ok day 21 today. Feeling better everyday, but have some odd questions.Do I still need to be napping some? Should I still be careful about lifting, and is it safe to get my yearly mamogram and my first
bone scan this close to the H?

As always, for specifics on your situation you should check with your doctor.

I would imagine that naps would still be in order at 3 weeks, i was still in pretty rough shape at that point, but even if you are feeling well, your insides are still healing and rest is one way our bodies heal. I was advised not to lift anything over 10 pounds for the first six weeks. And I would guess you are ok for mammogram and such, but you can check with the office for confirmation.

Hi! Your body is your best indicator. If you feel tired then by all means take a nap. You have to remember we have had major surgery, and it does take time to heal. I am at 4 1/2 wks and still nap ocasionally myself if I feel I need it. I'm not sure what limitations your dr has given you on lifting, but I am not to lift more than 10 lbs still myself. Remember you are still healing inside and don't need to be pulling and tugging on things. As far as getting your mamogram and bone scan I really don't know. I would ask the dr at your next appt.
