More information about adding Progesterone Cream with Climara Patch

Had TAH in 1997....have use Climara patch .375mg since then and done pretty good on the patch...except last year (out of the blue) I gained 20 lbs. Checked my thyroid...and doc said it was fine....so I started checking out Progesterone deficiences...and I have almost all the symtoms. I was wondering if anyone could tell me their experience of adding natural progesterone to their regimine and what it did to them. Also any suggestions on a good Progesterone cream?
Thanks gals!!

Re: More information about adding Progesterone Cream with Climara Patch

Hi!

It's been a while since you posted--how are you doing now? Did you decide to add progesterone to your hormone therapy regimen? I use compounded progesterone cream as part of my hormone therapy. I find that I sleep better when I use it.

Check with your doctor, of course. If you do opt to use progesterone, make sure it's USP Progesterone such as the kind sold in the HysterSisters Store.

Re: More information about adding Progesterone Cream with Climara Patch

Yes, I did decide to add Progesterone Cream to my hormone regimine...it has helped (I believe) with sleep....but something that I didnt recognize until I started using it is that I must have been "wound up tighter than a drum"...cause now I seem more relaxed....so that is a big plus for me! And, I believe that it has helped my "fog brain" too.....
I use the Progesterone cream on Dr. Lee's recommended site...Progestacare I believe is the name of it.
Thanks for checking in on me!!

That's a great update! Thanks for sharing. Progesterone isn't for everyone but it sounds like it's a good match for you.

I hope you continue to do well!
