Small soft bowel movements after surgery?

I had a TLH with BSO on Wednesday 11/6.. I had terrible endometriosis and a 10cm endometrioma, and I am feeling so much better! No pain! I am still feeling good five days after surgery, a little sore but no pain. I stopped my narcotic two days ago, and am just taking naproxen. I have been peeing great, and have been passing gas. My question is about bowel movements. I have been taking a stool softner twice daily since in the hospital, and am eating high fiber with lots of water. I passed a little of what looked like baby poop two days after surgery. Then yesterday and today(days 4 and 5) I have passed a small amount of soft poop. I feel like things are different in that area, like the angle is different or something. Is this progression normal? It just doesn't seem like it's enough based on the amount that I have been eating.

I'm having the same , think maybe it's normal , hurts to push still so maybe it's a blessing

heatherr73, at five days after surgery your intestines are still adjusting. You can expect all sorts of interesting developments in this department over the next couple few/weeks. If you see blood in your stools, call your doctor. Otherwise, it's probably okay. :-)

Agreed. Lots of changes in BM and pain in intestines. All part of the healing process
