bladder isuues pain and leakage

I am 6 weeks pos op. At my 6 week check up Dr. said things are going well. I have no restrictions. Has anyone had first pain when urinating (not the burning of a UTI but a discomfort) Now the pain has lessened a great deal but I seem to need to go more frequently and when I decide to go I better quick. When I decide to do just one more thing I leak. I am wearing a light pad just for that I am not having discharge. I know it is leaking from the uretha. I have started to do kegles. Dr said fine but give it 6 months and if not better it might be a problem my overlarge uterus and endometriosis was hiding. I am so hoping that it is a problem that will correct itself

I can understand your worry....but like your doctor said, give it some time...somethings take a little longer to heal, specially where endo is concerned.....I will have you in my prayers for those symptoms to dissappear real soon...hang in there, hugs.

Wow thank you for your response. It really helps to hear someone say what I know deep down. People have mentioned that the endo could cause extra symtoms but I guess I really wasn't understnding

Hi, I had a TAH on June 20th and I am having the same bladder symtoms. I also ask my Doc and he said the same thing. I didn't have Endo, but I still have this annoying problem. Hope your bladder heals very soon. God Bless!

Those urges will probably get better with time... I still have a little leakage if I sneeze... I never had urinary problems prior to my hysterectomy so I don't know if it is because the bladder sits differently now or what... What I find helps, is to drink lots of water and keep flushing yourself out... That seems to help with the urgency feeling... Or just make a point of going more often... I think with the swelling that we don't have as much room (kind of like being pregnant)...
Take care..
