Scared

My SAH is scheduled for the 26th and I had my pre op appointment which was NO HELP.

I found that my iron level is extremely low. Well duh what do you expect with an abnormality growing inside.

NONE of that scared me just made me nervous.
What is scaring the living HELLo out of me is the nightmares. ..

I've been dreaming of stroking out. This is scaring me beyond belief night sweats, jumping up in the middle of the night and wrapping myself around DH legs.

Re: Scared

Sorry your nightmares are so bad! The mind can really mess with you! My iron was extremely low, and I did just fine with the surgery. When my doctor came to see me in the hospital, he said I would really start feeling better as my iron level increased. I am starting to get more energy!

The weeks leading up to the surgery were so much harder than these last weeks have been! I'll keep you in my prayers.

Re: Scared

I am so sorry you are having nightmares. You are not alone in this. I have read other similar posts. I hope you can have quieter nights real soon. Maybe the doctor can give you something to help you sleep?

Your emotions and nerves regarding this surgery are very normal. You will get through this, and we will be there right beside you.

Re: Scared

I am so sorry to hear you are having nightmares. Is there anyway you can talk to your doctor and get something to be able to sleep or maybe an anti anxiety med till the surgery? I am scheduled for the 29th and my nerves are about shot. I called my doctor and she called me in something yesterday to help. I took it last night and slept much better.
I hope these 2 weeks go by for you really fast!
