Just to say hello and get started on this road to TAH/BSO. Have an enlarged uterus and abnormal bleeding. Tried other remedies with no success so here I am. See lots of interesting questions and information on the site and hope that all others tidbits will help me through the questions.

Welcome!

Hi Sonja and welcome!

This is the best place on the internet for information, support and hugs!

A good place to start is the pull down menus on the home page...you can read about many different experiences, and get some ideas on getting yourself, your family and your home ready for surgery and recovery.

Read everything, ask ANY questions that pop into your head, and the sisters here will help you get through this! You can also stop by Chat...click on it and follow the simple directions. Lots of great women there in the same place you are.

So happy that you found us!

Hi Sonja,

I had a TAH/BSO 4/16/01 and am now beginning my sixth week post-op. I found this site about 2 weeks before my surgery, frantically looking on the web for some help to answer my long list of questions. Fear can paralyze us, I think. Anyway, this site was a godsend for me. No sooner do you ask a question, then you have an answer.

Good luck. from Texas,

Michele
