Dudette, I recommend The Shack. Very good book. I'm also 10 days post op. Gas pain is excruciating. Nothing works for it. If it weren't for that I'd be feeling a lot better.

Re: Feel great but am I doing to much to soon?

Ahhh!!! I love The Shack...I read it months ago, and my husband just devoured it in 2 days ago. My gas pain is minimal. I recommend putting your legs together and pulling them up as close to your chest as you can until the gas passes. It sounds ridiculous, but it has really really helped me. Also, because my most comfortable position is on my back with pillows behind my back and under my legs, I have to be careful not to spread my legs to widely. It seems to make the gas worse, and passing it more painful. Strange, but it really works!

Re: Feel great but am I doing to much to soon?

Girl, you sound so excited about life. That is great!

But, my advice? Listen to your HysterSisters! Your body is working very hard inside. You can't see it so everything seems normal. It's not. If you grow adhesions from healing poorly, they will even begin to grow blood supplies of their own and glue organs together inside that will cause you problems later.

I'm bedridden most of my day, and it stinks. But, I don't plan on another surgery. (FYI: I am a Type A personality and would love to be cleaning my house, making huge meals for my large family and working.) Don't let your outsides fool you. REST.

One thing I've learned about husbands? They love us. Let yourself be pampered during this time. Lay on the floor with your baby and read.

Hang in there. It will be over soon enough and you can put your SuperMom cape back on. I am old. I have learned it the hard way. Keep smiling.
