crazy question

I have fibroids in my uterus, however, does anyone have experience of them moving like a baby. I have been feeling movement like I'm 4 mths pregnant but I know I'm not because I had my tubes ties 10 yrs ago. This is the craziest experience I've ever had....

Re: crazy question

It could very well be gas moving through your intestines and you feel it more because of the pressure from your fibroids. Just a guess on my part. Hope this helps.

Re: crazy question

I had that sensation a few years ago, maybe 4 years after I was originally told I had fibroids. When I was first told, my uterus was as if I was 2 months pregnant. During my annual checkup 4 years later my uterus was the size of a 4 month pregnancy. I told my doc about the movement because I thought I was pregnant, i was nauseated as well. Test was negative. She said it could be due to the fibroids growing or my other organs being moved out of the way due to the growing uterus. Needless to say the movement stopped about a month later and so did the nausea.

I hope that helps. Good luck to you!

Re: crazy question

I had a similar experience with my fibroids. I actually think it was when food was moving through my bowels and it hit the place where the fibroids/uterus had invade my bowel space. I haven't noticed it since my fibroids were removed. Good luck.

Re: crazy question

I don't have fibroids, and besides having to go for a hyster for cervical cancer next month, I don't really feel anything different in my abdomen than I've always felt. I do, however, feel what I call "phantom kicks" and it feels so much like the real thing! I usually try to enjoy the moment in a private space inside my head
I believe it's most likely bowel activity, probably even just gas moving through. But I pretend for a moment and enjoy as I won't have the opportunity to feel it again for real. I am hoping i will still feel it once in a while after my hyster. Maybe it's something similar for you?

Re: crazy question

I have four children and I enjoyed every single minute of being pregnant. Now at my age 44, although I know its probably the fibroids moving. I sometimes wish it was a baby and like you candian67 I to savore the moment. Thank you all for the information. Now I know I'm not CRAZY after all LOL.... but I am looking forward to my surgery on Feb 6 so that all the pain will be gone. Good luck to everyone with surgeries coming up...
