2.5 wks post-op recovery challenges

At 2.5 weeks post-op from daVinci hysterectomy surgery due to fibroids, some cysts, and endometriosis they found during surgery and had my ovaries removed. Pre-symptoms were heavy bleeding and time between periods getting shorter and shorter. My recovery has been better than I expected but I am following all of the advice given about staying on my medication regimen - Percocet every 4 and staggering ibuprofen between every 8. Lots of rest, making sure to drink lots of water and eat (soups , crackers) to get everything started again. I learned after my cesarean 17 years ago that not eating and drinking leads to more problems. It also helps while taking your meds to eat so you don't have stomach issues later. Also getting up to walk for short distances gets things moving as well. After the first week, I began tapering off the meds and trying to do more than I should have - big mistake. I started bleeding a little more than usual but once I rested it stopped. Still achy and some days are better than others. Have my first post op appointment with my dr tomorrow so I hope my results are good.
