Re: return to work

Well I am concerned about going back to work but the real scary part for me is that I have been unemployed and just got a new job starting on Monday. The work shouldn't be an issue but the commute will be. I wish all of us going back to work many blessings.

Re: return to work

Brenda, sorry about your infection. Did you have any fever? I hope the antibiotic takes care of it because going back to re-open the vaginal cuff is no fun. I had mine reopen to go into the pelvis area due to infection and though I don't feel any pain it just delayed my recovery down there.

Re: return to work

I live on a small farm and just started lifting 50lb sacks of feed last week at 9 weeks post-op. Anything heavier will just have to wait. I couldn't imagine doing that kind of lifting all day yet. So thankful the first hay crop doesn't come in until mid-June.

Find a Dr that will do what is best for your body, not what is best for them, your insurance, or your employer. take care of yourself.

So glad your GP is on the ball and treating the infection.

Re: return to work

I just started back at work on Tuesday. I was off for 6 weeks. I'm a mail carrier so my job is very physically demanding. Everything went fine for me except for the usual aches and pains of not being at work for so long. However everybody heals differently so listen to your body. I had the DaVinci and kept my ovaries.
