LIW's

Dear Ladies,
Will be thinking of you and hoping things progress smoothly and that you have a good recovery.
I'm now 13 days on and sooo glad it is all over. The waiting was definitely the worst thing for me.
My dr. did a wonderful job and I sent him a Christmas card telling him so a few days after returning home. I'm so glad that I waited to have the procedure 'til I found him. And almost all of the nursing staff were fabulous. Couldn't do enough for you. All in all a happy experience at the castle. I hope yours goes as well (don't ask about the food though!!).
Think positive.
See you on the better side!
All the best.
Nellie One

ps I've been up to light Christmas shopping for quite a few days now...but I'm not letting on to anyone but you!!!

Best Wishes to our Wednesday, December 17th Princesses!

Thank you ladies for your well wishes

This web-site has been a god-send for me. Whenever I'm scared, nervous and have doubts about my upcoming surgery I turn to this wonderful place to seek comfort and answers. I'm so glad I was given this site from an aquaintance while I was going through my decision process of having a TAH or not.

By the way, I forgot to ask my doctor this question....Does the hospital and/or doctor discharges you even if you haven't had a bowel movement? A neighbor of mine mentioned that it is important that you have a BM before you leave the hospital. If so, what can I do other than walking to help me have one? My birthday day falls on the third day and I do want to be home and not in a hospital. I would appreciate any response or advices from any of you.

I will post my recovery when I ama able to sit infront of a computer without too much discomfort.

Best Wishes to our Wednesday, December 17th Princesses!

Hi Gigi --- the policy at my hospital was that if you were passing gas you could go home. I've read about a lot of ladies not having bms til day 6-7 after surgery, so I think other hospitals might be the same -but it comes to the same old story.. ask your own doctor what the policy is.

Best wishes to you and all your surgery sisters as you head off to the castle.
May each and every one of you soon find yourselves on the road to recovery and doing very well.

Best Wishes to our Wednesday, December 17th Princesses!

Hi there

Very best wishes to all of you. I had my surgery on 4th Dec and I can report that, after all the pain, the worry and the panick, everything went well and I hardly had any pains at all. The waiting is definitely the WORST part!.

You are in our prayers.

Lots of hugs and look forward to hearing from you all soon

Thank you so very much. Yes, waiting has been so hard! I have had my TAH scheduled for THREE LONG MONTHS and I can't wait until Wednesday! This site has been my saving grace. I don't know how I would be handling this surgery had I not found this site. It has been the absolute BEST support I have gotten from anyone.

THANK YOU HYSTERSISTERS FOR EVERYTHING-SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE!!

HUGS

P.S. Have a happy birthday Gigi! You'll be celebrating as a princess!

Thank-you for your support!!!!!

Thanks for the support that you all have given me. I have been having a hard time all week, I know in my heart I will be fine it's so scary!! I will let you know how things went when I come home.
I think the prays will help. I called my Doctor's office on Friday and said that I was scared I asked the nurse if other women who were going to have a hysterectomy are scared liked me and she told me no. But, I read in here that that is normal.

Thanks for everything.
