Pills for Bowel Prep

Hi Ladies,

So I went to pick up my bowel prep and I have three bottles of pills. Two of them are Antiboitics and the one is Visicol. The visicol I have to take 3 every 15 minutes until gone. I have to do the clear liquid diet, so I be going to make some jello soon.

I being this whole process tomorrow at 4pm any ideas on how this stuff works vs the others. I just drink water.

I have never heard of pills. I'll be interested in how that works.

I have the antibiotics too, but my prep starts at 7:30AM Phospho Soda - YUCK!!!

Oh Girlies,

Lemme just say this is NO picnic! I'm doing the phosphotase, it's not bad if mixed with ice cold 7up.

I started with 2 dulcolax tabs in the a.m. and that started things up, and then I did one phosphotase and I'm already "clear". So, I just did half of the second cocktail, because there is nothing but yellow water coming out and I can see clear into the bottom of the toilet through it.

Good luck tomorrow! I hope you have something for your bottom, mine is so sore, the zinc ointment isn't helping much. I finally took a couple tylenol to see if that will do it.

And finally, with this whine, I'M SO HUNGRY!

Hi ladies,

Well the DH is currently out shopping for drinks, wipes and the such. I am doing my last night of driving the DD to dance classes. I am also have some chocolate in a good-bye sort of way.

I think I have just about everything at work ready to be gone. My fellow speech paths are great, covering my caseload. There is one gal going full time til I am ready to came back.

Thanks to everyone for the advice about wipes and A&D, I will be ready for bowel prep tomorrow night.

Lots of chocolate is a very good idea for any illness.

All kidding aside, doc says it's amazing how good my levels are with all the bleeding I do and I said it's exercise and chocolate, two things I do almost every single day!

I've said prayers for all our sisters who'll be at the castly Friday. Hope to be home by then giving y'all the scoop!

I was told i would not be doing a bowel prep that i could do one on my own if i wanted but they dont really do those anymore. anyone here heard of this? anyone have advise on what would be good to use on my own? and best time to start?
