In Romania, December 1 is St. Nicholas day.
The children all get candy in their shoes.

Thank you for the well wishes. I am going throgh the bowel prep (drinking that yucky stuff) as I type. But I am keeping focused on the end result....relief!

Thank you for all the good wishes. I've been drinking Gatorade all day but I am ready.
Can't wait till it is over, though. I am thinking of what you all said - when you wake up and surgery's over, it's time for recovery and healing.
Yikes, I'm glad I'm an early case! Can't wait to come home!

What a relief to be on the other side!
I hope it went well for you ladies.

I feel very good, but was a bit sad at the final outcome.
Dr. got the ovaries out, they were in the bowel.
He also had a urologist come in and put stents into my uretors. (All of that appears to be working just fine).

But because the uterous was adhered to the bowel so badly, he opted to leave it. (sad face here)

Now I am afraid I will be dealing with this for years to come.

Oh wel, I guess better to deal with a uterus I didn't want, than a bowel re-section.

I hope all went smoothly for all of you!

I feel very, very good. Walking, eating, etc.
Just now bowel movement yet (day 3) and a bit stiff -- sort of like post car-accident more than post surgery.

It felt great to think of all of you.
I told all of the nurses and docs about your site.
I will bring a brochure to my post op next week.
