2 weeks post hysterectomy - when will the swelling in my belly go down?

When will the swelling in my belly go down?

Mine went down gradually over the course of three months.

It'll take some time... You are still early in your recovery yet listen to your body and try not to over do... It'll get better sis... Hugs.

I notice thathat the right side of my belly button is more sensitive and swollen than the left. Is this normal? The Dr. went in through my belly button and two other areas on both sides. I was able to keep both ovaries. I am having moments when I just want to cry and don'the know why...anyone else feel like this?

I am 4 weeks post op and I still have swelly belly. Some days are better than others. This will be a long healing process.

Me too!

Mine started getting better around 6 weeks

Mine would get better and then if I was up and about more, I would notice "the pudge" again. Finally it was just gone. Everyone heals in their own time
