Robotic hysto on 9/27/13...Help!!!!

Just been told my robotic hysto will be an out patient procedure ....weird or not???
It's scheduled for tomorrow with possible abdominal instead
Hospital called to tell me i will be going home that same day

It's not unusual to have a robotic hysto be done outpatient! They are a lot less invasive then other types! Now if you have the abdominal that's another story, probably a couple days in the hospital! I'm sure once they get to take a look around they will be able to determine which one you will need!! Best of luck to you!! I had a LAVH and went home the next morning, be prepared for lots of gas pain if they go that route! Lots of gas x helped me!! Prayers for you! 😊

I went home the same day as my robotic and unlike many others did not have any gas pains. I am glad that I got to home the same day, as I feel that I got much better rest in my own home than I would have in the hospital. I did get a lot of help from my husband, but I never once wished that I had spent the night. Every person has a different experience, so don't dwell on the negative experiences that others had. Everyone one of us has something that does not go quite right, but very, very few have everything go wrong. Listen to your body and rest - that is my best advice. I wish you as uneventful a procedure and recovery as I had.

I am having a Davinci robotic as well and I was given the option to do it outpatient or stay overnight.

I'm going to stay overnight, but a lot of women go home the same day.

I am having a davinci as well and they are sending me home. I'm a little nervous cuz we live on the 3rd floor and my husband cannot take time off at work so it's just going to be me and my 3kids .my youngest is 10 months old.

I had the robot asst too.:just ask a lot of questions.They said simple operation. Not, had infections from day one . One with bladder and at the cut of vagina. It will be three weeks and bleeding to.They give me many different reasons for infections. Tired of them and all the pain. Everyone is different and hopefully all goes with you. Just ask a lot of questions .prayers for you and speedy recovery

Thank you for all the responses. I ended having to do a TAH because too many scar tissues and the Fibroids had attach themselves to my bladder. I came home Monday and recovering.
