Sandrena Gel

Hi to all!
I was previously on "Livial" which is a steroid, and in the past 4 days have started using Sandrena Gel. Would love to hear from others who have had positive or negative experiences using this form of HRT.

Sandrena has been excellent for me!!

Hi Lisa

I too have previously taken Livial!!

After my TAH/BSO in oct 07, I initially took Climival ........... that didn't suit.

Then I was prescribed Sandrena gel and haave never felt better.

Sandrena Gel

Hi Shellie,
Thanks for your response.
It's only been 6 days taking Sandrena Gel, so it still hasn't kicked in like i'd like it to. I'll be patient and hope that like you I will feel myself again.
Your response has made me feel more positive, Thank you.
Regards

Time & Site of Application.

Hi Lisa

I have established that for me it is really important to do the following: -

* to apply at the same time every night;
* ensure site is free from body lotions, perfumes etc;
* not to get the application wet within an hour of application
* to apply to the inside of alternate thighs each time;
* when exercising more I tended to need a 1/4 dose extra;

Hope this helps.

Sandrena Gel

Thanks Shellie for all your help.
Have you put on weight using the Gel? I put on weight while using the Livial, about 6 kilos, and I'm a little afraid that the Gel will make me put on more weight. Also how long was it before Sandrena kicked in for you?
Have a great day
Lisa

Sandrena Gel

I Lisa

I also put on about 14lbs with Livial - steroid based meds tend to do that.

I started to put on some weight when I first started hormone therapy, but I asigned this to lack of exercise and too many choccies!!!

Once I got a routine going, it came off again ..... slowly. I felt that good in other ways I just tried harder to get the weight off. More exercise, less rubbish food etc.

I think for me it took a good year to fully recover from the surgery and about the same amount of time for my body to get used to having no natural oestrogen.

Have agreat weekend.
