I had my hysterectomy 8 weeks ago and I feel like a new person. I am very happy that I had it done. If others are having problems I would suggest talking to your obgyn and see what he or she says. I am glad I did.

Hi dawnnewton4
Welcome! It's always encouraging to hear a positive report. I'm so glad you're doing well. Thank you for sharing. There are probably others you can encourage with your own experience here in post op. It's good to have you join us.

I too am so happy, no more explaining and trying to clean a friends car seat, no extra laundry because of my mess, no more missing work because I wouldn't be able to get to the bathroom when I needed to, no more cramping/pain with it, and I am only three weeks out!

I feel the same way, just wish I had done it a long time ago. I think my husband feels like he has a new wife too!
