Almost 7 weeks post hysterectomy: Very embarrassing question

I have a super embarrassing question. Ok, so I am almost 7 weeks since my surgery. I have had sex with my husband once, after the 6 week mark. But I have always had a very high sex drive and my husband...not so much. So, last night after giving my husband some affection through massaging his feet, I went to bed. I couldn't sleep because I was feeling *****, so I...got myself off, with my hand. I kinda washed my hand after massaging his feet, but not real well. This morning I am in pain, I feel like I have an UTI or something. I hurt from my urethra all the way up almost to my belly button. Did I mess myself up? I have an appointment on Monday but trying to get some answers today, I feel really dumb right now.

Re: Very embarrassing question

Drink a lot of water to flush it out. It might not be too late to try cranberry pills. Use ice on your belly. Or you might prefer heat. You may have just irritated your healing muscles from the O. I doubt you messed anything up.

Re: Almost 7 weeks post hysterectomy: Very embarrassing question

It could be that your body is reacting from the contraction of the orgasm. Remember, those muscles haven't been used for a little while and your body may not be ready just yet.

I agree that you should drink plenty of water. If the pain that you are feeling increases, I would give the doctor a call. Even if it subsides, make sure to let your doctor know on Monday what you experienced.

Go easy on yourself and try not to worry too much.

IMO~it's highly unlikely that you developed an infection overnight. I agree that it's probably your body not being used to the O... Is there any possibility that there was something on your hands that your body is reacting to, like soap or lotion, or something like that?

Re: Almost 7 weeks post hysterectomy: Very embarrassing question

Let me just say that I decided to have the big O two weeks post op because I was so worked up and wanted to see how different it felt now. I didn't have any complications from it. It's not nearly as intense as it was before. And I didn't use anything inside the vadge. And I didn't rub my husbands feet. Not sure what to say about your situation but just saying that two weeks out and an orgasm didn't hurt me any.

Re: Almost 7 weeks post hysterectomy: Very embarrassing question

Sounds like muscles contracting and may have had a little spasm. It has been 6 weeks and the muscles are weak in the pelvic area. As said before, it is highly unlikely to get an infection overnight unless it has been brewing and just happened to start after your experience..
Heating pad on the tummy might help along with pain pill. Talk to the doc at your appt next week.

Re: Almost 7 weeks post hysterectomy: Very embarrassing question

Well, as far as something on my hands, could be either the lotion I used on his feet or the soap I used afterward. This wasn't my first "o" since surgery. As I said, I have a very high sex drive. I have gotten off a few times as I was waiting for the six weeks to be up. Nothing in my vag, just using my hands. It's never hurt before. I'm thinking it's something on my hands. It feels like I have a UTI. I feel frequent urges to urinate.

Could it be that this would have been time for your period? Pre-menstrual stuff usually keeps going if you keep your ovaries, of varying intensity.
