Two weeks post hysterectomy... Can I remove my sterie strips?

It's been nearly 2 weeks since surgery can I remove surgical sterile strips as they are smelly due to showering have wound pads to keep dry.and tummy is very touch sensitive is this due to nerve damage or healing cheers

You should not remove them until you check with your doctor. Did your paper work give you any instructions? If not, give your doctor a call.

They should be getting loose after each time you have a shower. The water loosens them up. My doc said 10 days but then I only had 2 and one came off 2 days later due to the blisters I got. The second one fell,off at around 2 weeks. I would contact your doc to see if you can take off. It is not easy and you would need lots of water to help...

Let the shower water do the work.

I had two left they were hanging on the side. After 2 days they did not fall off I peel them off. I was all heal. Doctor told me the would fall off in 5 days but it took 10 days.
