Pre op - Bladder Repair

I had my pre op appointment today I'm going to have a vaginal with Bladder reconsruction...Some new mesh material they use to support the bladder now I'm more worried about the bladder surgery.... Anyone whos had that done .... Please let me know how it was ..Doc says I wont be happy first couple of days .....

I hope someone will come along soon who can tell you what that's like. All I had was a total laparoscopic hysterectomy and removal of the left ovary and tube.

From what I've read, I think the main problem with having a bladder repair is the need for a urinary catheter for a few days. I had one overnight. I was happy to get it out because it made it easier to walk but it really wasn't bad.

I am also having bladder repair (and other "repairs") done with my Hyst. Like you, I am more concerned with the "repair" work than the Hyst. I am having a hard time finding out what to expect. I hope someone comes along soon!

Ditto!!! I have an appointment with my urologist tomorrow morning and have very little to go on at this stage. Hopefully, more light will be shed during my appointment. I will most certainly share any information I gather but would love to go into my appointment a little more equipped.
