Surgery tomorrow: Up & Down!

This time tomorrow I'll actually be IN surgery. While I've been planning all this for almost 2 years, and I'm glad to be losing the sources of pain and discomfort, I'm having a really weird day.

One moment I'm running around, packing and getting things organized, the next I'm quiet, weepy...

It seems so weird to be doing things "for the last time", since I've got lots of supports in place so won't be doing any laundry, cleaning for a while - almost a morbid feeling.

I'm not used to this side of things, LOL! I was a medical social worker before, so am used to helping others through this. But this day before jitters...anyone else going through this?

Me too. I'm scheduled for my surgery tomorrow as well and sometimes I'm fine and happy go-lucky then the next second I'm a basket case, freaking out completely.

I'll be thinking of you and hopefully we'll both have a very run of the mill vanilla surgery.

Surgery tomorrow: Up & Down!

Hi Zenwin!

Mine's for fibroids and anemia too!

I'm hoping thigs are nice and boring but I have an extra bag packed in case I need to stay longer. I'm going to a teaching hospital, and since I have weird reactions to things (medications and surgical tape so far), I usually end up camping out longer and entertaining some interns and med students

I'm pretty well organized so things have calmed down a little...

Best wishes, we'll have to compare notes later!
