Hysterectomy on Thursday (9/10)

Im okay now but was anxious last week and I'm sure I will be nervous the day of. I'm having the robotic surgery. My question is my stomach usually stays swollen for some reason, I don't know. But how long (days,weeks) does is take your belly to become less swollen after surgery.

I retained a lot of fluid the first few days after surgery, but that was gone by the end of the first week. I also had some abdominal swelling that departed gradually over the course of about 12 weeks.

I had a really easy recovery (and hope you do too!). By eight weeks, life was back to normal except for a bit of swelling. More than two years later, only my incision scar reminds me of the surgery at all. :-)
