I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAck!

Ta-da!
I made it.
They found stuff!

All in all a very successfyl visit to the castle.

Day 1 was a bit painful but with great nurses who would give me a morphine oush when needed and my morphine pump-it passed.
Operation was Thursday; they found a scarred and inflammed L ovary and extensive adenomyosis of the uterus esp the L side. For years I had chronic pain but despite alot of post op twinges I know that THAT PAIN IS GONE..........YIPPEE.

Friday I walked and sat around alot. Sat pulled the morphine pump as I had a significant temp and we were just getting rid of all variables. I've been doing very well on percocet, darvocet and tylenol! Today I came home and passed gas.......yep, the minute I got in the door.

It's great to be home but I've found out the couch is harder to get off of then the hosp bed and my animals are no help in that they make me laugh at the wrong times! like when there isn't a tummy pillow to be had! I've already taken two lengthy naps for no reason at all but the doc says this is my future for the next two weeks.
More later!

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAck!

Welcome home Alison!!
Glad to hear everything went well for you. Wonderful to hear that you notice a difference already in the pain that you had been suffering previously!

I found having lots of pillows on the sofa helped to prop myself up to get up. I always say they should let us take those mechanical beds home with us for recovery. They are great for getting out of for sure.

Best of luck in your recovery. Do take it easy, get lots of rest and fluids, and keep that tummy pillow close by for when the pets get you laughing. Be careful of them jumping on your stomach as well when you aren't looking. I speak from experience on that one with my cat. They miss us when we are away...but don't realize they can't crawl all over us when we get home!
Thanks for posting about your castle visit!
Hugs,
Maria

Welcome home!!

Take lots of those nice naps....they really help! I'm so glad you had a good experience...now continue being a good princess...get lots of rest, drink plenty of water and juice, and take those little strolls around the living room every now and then.

So good to have you on the other side!!

Welcome Home Alison!

It's nice to read your story. Those NAPS are really really good for you! Your body needs them in order to heal properly. Keep listening to your body and when you tire or feel some discomfort. fluids and some. Do the HysterSister Shuffle though. No power walking.
