Safe to trim near the abdominal incision?

This is an embarrassing question : I hope I don't get kicked off here for asking this quesion. Is it safe to trim near the abdominal incision? Like shave? My doctor said my incisions looked good. I haven't any staples since the 4th day post-op. And, haven't had steri-stripes for 2 weeks, maybe 3wks. I'm into my 5 wks post-op. The only problem is the swelly belly is kind of in the way.

I would ask your dr. I had a RALPH and my dr told me to wait for 4 weeks. I thought I was going to go crazy but I made it.
