2 steps backwards?

Is this normal? I'm 12 days post op (wow!) and am feeling so exhausted (contributed to not sleeping well during the night) and my insides have begun to hurt in a way they didn't before. Like they are waking up from being knocked out and realizing they've been tampered with. Sound weird? I'm getting tugging pains, some sharp twinges, etc.
My post op appt is tomorrow so of course I'll ask but is this normal to feel like I've gone backwards in my recovery???

sounds normal to me. my recovery was 2 steps forward, 1 step back for quite some time...then it would be 3 steps forward, 1 step back....it seemed like every 3 weeks or so i would kind of crash and feel like I was going backwards instead of forwards...if you read the check points i think it says that this is very normal! :0)

In fact, even at 7.5 months post op I still have days where I feel like I have taken backwards steps. I think it is just part of the process.

It totally sounds normal. It certainly happened to me. At 2 weeks I totally went backwards and then again at 4. However the slide at 4 weeks was way less than at 2. I found at 2 weeks I had all kind of twinges and aches inside. At 4 weeks I felt better and did more than I should have and then had to go back to resting. At 6 weeks, I've learned to pace myself and can do so much more. Good luck.
