nerve damage to legs after op.

im day 9 after hysterectomy, my ovaries were also removed. This was due to an 8lb fibroid stuck to my bowel and kidney. Had to have blood transfusion also. My main problem is the outer thighs, they are numb the whole time. At night when i lie down a crawling sensation starts and then like hot needles been pushed in my legs. Its agony and i have hardly slept since the op. Doc said it is nerve damage and its early days. Im nearly out of my mind

Both of my outer thighs were like this when I would lie down flat before surgery... now.. only 1 side is doing it, which is a great improvement for me. I know how that feels!! Can you sleep at all on your sides yet? That was always most comfortable for me, my legs wouldn't crawl and I could get some sleep.

I am only 4 days post-op, but I have "numb" areas on my legs as well. One of them was already like that but now it is bigger and there seems to be 2 more and on each leg.

Thanks so much its great to know im not alone. I cant lie on my side yet, get staples out tomorrow so hope that will help. Things are so bad that im planning on sleeping tonight in living room sitting up. Legs will still be numb but at least the crawling feeling wont be there. Thanks for support
