dVH, uterus didelphys with fibroids

I've been visiting this site for a few weeks now and have yet to find anyone else with my 'condition'.

I have two completely separate uteri that are full of fibroids. I have had lengthy, painful, heavy periods for about three years now, and things have only gotten worse with each cycle. I am scheduled for a daVinci hysterectomy next Thursday, March 14. I am 44 y/o, have had two children without issues, one in each uterus, but not during the same pregnancy. What a miracle my children are!

Due to my anomaly, I am not a candidate for ablation, and a D&C, would be risky as well.

I am totally comfortable with my upcoming surgery, and even looking forward to not having to plan around my periods!

I am physically active and anticipate a quick recovery, although I know not to push myself (this will be my 16th surgery since birth, including two c-sections and most recently gall bladder/stones removal). My hubby is very supportive and will be home with me for 11 days during recovery.

I'm anxious to hear from anyone else with an anomaly such as mine!!
