Is anybody having normal bowel movements?

Hi Peachprinceton,

Sorry it took me a bit to respond . . . I was out of town for more medical work ups for another issue I'm having. They did a procedure where I had to drink barium and I'm really feeling constipated tonight ~ uggghhh such a horrible feeling. The x-ray tech told me to try and drink 16 CUPS OF WATER afterwards!!!! He said the stuff is like cement in there and I don't want it getting stuck.

As far as the flaxseed, I would imagine the bread would help some, but probably not as effective as taking the ground flax. I take 2 tbsp. of ground flax daily . . . trying to convert that to a piece of bread . . . well, I think you might have to eat a lot of toast, because I'm assuming there isn't that much in one slice of bread. Really, the ground flax is pretty simple once you get used to it. Another sister on here tried it and already sent me a pm and said she was happy with the results.

Sorry about the stomach pills . . . I can relate. Ive taken both those meds in the past. Now I take Protonix twice a day and at this point my reflux is so severe it doesn't work too well. I'm currently living on the toast & cereal (and my daily yogurt) diet that you mentioned until my next surgery, scheduled in 3 weeks.

Anyway, do feel free to send me a pm about the flaxseed, if you have any questions about buying, storing, or using it. There are others ways you can use it then putting it in yogurt!

Normal bowel movements

Try taking Ultra Soya Lecithin 1200mg. I take 3 each morning. Works great! I took 2 tablet daily before my hysterectomy.

Is anybody having normal bowel movements?

I am 4 months post op and I do not have regular bowel movements, well not like it was before my operation. Now if I dont take Metamucil or drink a cup of coffee in the morning I will be blocked up for a week!!! I dont know what is normal or if this will change but I am eating healthy, drinking water, exercising and taking vitamins to help my body be healthy.
