Upcoming hysterectomy 11/11: LAVH- How long did hospital keep you?

First, I have to say, I'm horrible at hospital and always have found a way to get home early. This is often the worse thing you can do. I'm working on reminding myself of this. I just always want to get my sleep.....at home!

But, the curiosity is getting at me. Nurse just told me that most likely I'd be stuck there one day. Has anyone gone home after LAVH?
How long is a usual stay?

I had TAH and stayed one night. In the hospital where I was most people with less invasive went home the same day if they had surgery early in the day. I tried to get them to spring me same day, but no dice. The next morning I walked the halls endlessly and asked everyone I saw when I could be discharged until they got tired of me and let me go :-)

My surgery was lavh and it started at 715 and i was home at 7pm same day. I was up and about by 2pm and just had to wait for doctor to swing by after her office hours at 5pm to release me. I was a bit nauseated so i stayed until it passed and left.

Ok thanks! Surgery is at 9:30 so perhaps it'll be a option to go home that day.
I think the only thing that will hold me back will be the nausea.

Doctor told me one night stay and that was all it was.

My surgery was at 11:30 am, I was in my room by 4, eating at 5, walking at 6. I think they just want to monitor you to make sure all is good, especially going to the bathroom to urinate. The other will come later, hahaha.
Didn't get much sleep, they bug you all night for blood pressure and temperature, plus it's all lit up and kinda noisy....
