11 hours and counting BUT

What happens if I get into the surgery and they don't find anything as bad as I think I have made it? What if they get in there and there's really nothing that they see that could be causing all my bleeding? What if I'm just a big fraidy cat? What if they sew me back up and send me on my way while they are laughing and pointing at me? Does anyone else have these fears? Am I paranoid or what??

I am also sched. to have my surgery tomorrow morning at 8 am
I think your fears are quite normal. If they have you sched. for a hysterectomy tomorrow I dont think there is any fear that you will awaken to find that they did not do the surgery. Everything is going to be o.k. Best of luck to you - I will say a prayer for you and all other sisters having surgery tomorrow (including myself)
Hope you have an alright sleep tonight.

Thanks Shark!! I think you and I are going to be great friends! LOL---I'm having an LAVH--I know there's endo in there somewhere--they had to burn some off about 10 years ago when they took out one of my ovaries. But I think I'm just finding new stuff to worry about.. I'm done packing, House is all clean, laundry is all done, nothing to do...

That's a good question!

My TAH is Monday ... it was a whirlwind when I was told that I had Adenomyosis and then had the hyst scheduled 4 weeks later. Wow! Besides, I've only had pain just recently.

I hope that I'm not wasting everyone's time and that this is really medically necessary. Maybe I'm still in shock.

Good luck to you!!!

PS - Where are you in Texas?

LOL! One of the questions I asked my doctor in my consultation was "Have you ever had to stop a hysterectomy after starting and sew that patient up and tell them after they wake up that they didn't need one?" His answer - "No." That would be my worst nightmare - all of this worrying and planning and then waking up and finding out that he didn't do it!
