Hi TooYoung!
I cannot answer your Lupron question - you may wish to talk to your doctor on that.
Having a hysterectomy is MAJOR SURGERY. My understanding is the only surgery more major is open heart surgery. It truly takes it out of you. I had a TAH BSO, and was very exhausted for several weeks. Taking a shower and getting to the couch was an accomplishment. I took three weeks off work (desk job), and then could only return part time for four weeks after that - and that was TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH! You will need help at home with dishes, cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, driving, etc for several weeks. You will have lifting restrictions - no more than 10 lbs for six weeks. You need to rest, rest, rest during recovery - you only get one chance to heal right.
Recovery from this takes a while - everyone is different, but you should plan on longer and then go back sooner if you are able. 100% recovery can take a year - if not longer.
