Any pre-ops REALLY-REALLY constipated?

Doese anyone know if these tumors, cysts, uterus, endo or anything else can grow into out intestines and block them. Usually a good laxative makes me go and for 3 days-nothing. I have an enema bottle (one of the good ones that can be used as an ice bag) and Im about to resort to that! Im sure Im not alone on this problem.

Any pre-ops REALLY-REALLY constipated?

Sorry, doll! I have the opposite problem. The stress is making everything run right through me. I constantly feel like I have to either pee or do the other. Can't wait until this is over and I can exterminate all these butterflies that are making me feel this way!

Hope someone else can help you!

I'm just the same. I've never had problems doing #2 but not it's like pushing out a baby. Don't know if it's nerves or not Surg. is the 8th of Jan. so really worked up. Hope it ends soon. 5 people in a house w/ 1 bath doesnt' really give you much time to "relax"....

any pre-ops REALLY REALLY constipated?

Its been since August for me. Period been messed up about a year but pain didn't start until Nov. 10. I think one of the sisters said they found part of the small intestine blocked on her. Cramping is continuous when pain meds wear off. Im already scheduled for D&C to make sure of no cancer then the hyster and now Im afraid Im looking at bowel repair on top of that. If you find any human drano let me know.

most d*****ately. I think all the pain killers are what's making me back up. I skipped them saturday so I could get everything done for my DD's b-day party on sunday, and not to bad today. But day's just really started. Just now eating since yesterday afternoon so I'll have to wait and see. Best wishes on your op in a few days. I'll be checking your posts to see how your doing. going to try to add you to my buddy list to keep track of your progress-hope you don't mind. best wishes.

So far Im doing OK. I don't have the anxiety problem a lot of the sisters have. Only the scared of pain part. If I get a chance Ill show my daughter how to post a progress report before I get out.

Any pre-ops REALLY-REALLY constipated?

My doc thinks I have endo adhered to my bowel which presses on it and makes it difficult to go.

Also, the painkillers are backing me up. But, I try to eat at least one prune for each pain pill I take!

Good luck!
