How Lucky We Are!

Has anyone else thought about how many of us would be dead or dying even 100 years ago?

How Lucky We Are!

Yes, I've thought of that several times. My older sister (who also had to have a hyster several years ago) and I have often discussed how lucky we are that we live in a time that helpful medical treatment was available.

Ditto.

I've thought of at least twice I would've already been dead except for the help of modern medicine. First, my c-section 22 years ago. I'd have died giving birth to my daughter. I'm not sure if she'd have survived or not. And now, the hyster.

How Lucky We Are!

Absolutely. I was hemorrhaging (two trips to the ER) from multiple large fibroid tumors and decades ago, I probably would have bled to death. I probably wouldn't have made it through childbirth, either....there was a fibroid blocking the birth canal, and both baby and I probably would not have survived 100 years ago. Baby is now 21!
We are lucky, indeed.
