Re: TAH: 6 Days post op: not recovering well

I am three weeks out and still have occasional nausea and not a very big appetite. Give yourself lots of time - it takes a long time to feel better and I've had to learn that my body will be ready at some point. Rest, drink plenty of liquids, eat anything that sounds good to YOU. I found meats didn't appeal at all so I've mainly eaten fruits, vegetable, cheese, yogurt, etc. I also get dizzy occasionally too - I think it's just because we have been through alot and lost more blood than we think. Take care of yourself and it will get better but it may take awhile.

Re: TAH: 6 Days post op: not recovering well

I have them same symptoma had no extra blood loss during surgery but mine has been getting worse not better as I posted this morning my dizziness is so bad I have to lean on something to keep from falling and having been taking over the counter anti nausau meds so I can eat and if I do the least little thing I get to I can't hold my eyes open i'm so exhausted.Like yesterday I sleep to noon, mothers days treat and then went and say my mom for about an hour came home cooke dinner and by 4 I was so tired I slept till almost 7 and still went to bed at 11.This is driving me crazy as I am now having to watch my son and I never know when i'm going to get dizzy or so sleep I can't stay awake. He's three so it's very scary.
