3 weeks post op hysterectomy, tearing pain on left side
I had an abdominal hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and I have such a tearing pain on my left side. My ovaries were also removed and on the left side I had a 12 cm cyst. I had a CT scan today and it as all clear meaning this is muscular?? that's what the doctor said anyway. Has anyone else experienced this?

3 weeks post op hysterectomy, tearing pain on left side
I had something similar. I had a TAH BSO mad had a tearing feeling on my right side for around 4 weeks. Was slightly painful but not unbearable. I had a 24 cm cyst on right side and doc said the feeling was related to body adjusting back to pre cyst. It went away around 4 weeks when I was back at work.
Totally healed now, op was 10 weeks ago, a distant memory and life is all back to normal.

Re: 3 weeks post op hysterectomy, tearing pain on left side
I had pain on my right side. It was my understanding that my doctor did more work on that side than the other when she removed cysts from my right ovary. I would say if the pain continues give your doctor a call back. In the meantime, try ice or heat and see if either of those ease the discomfort. Try resting and see if that eases the pain also.
