mini period experiences - normal?
I would love to find out what your mini period is like? I find some talk about "spotting", some talk about just having a brown discharge, you name it. Also, how long does yours last?
Most of all, I would love to know if your mini period has remained the same from the start or whether it has become any heavier with time or actually fading away? I find some talk about it getting worse/heavier with time and some say theirs has actually faded away.
Would love to know your experience and especially if it has changed any over time. I am 4 months out from surgery and have had 4 mini's...but this last one seemed more 'red' and slightly heavier then the previous 3, so I am worried they are going to just get heavier and heavier with time.
Thank you for your input! I appreciate it!

Re: mini period experiences - normal?
I've only had 1 so far and it wasn't heavy, but the blood was bright red and I had nasty cervical mucous when I ovulated too. My doctor said he cauterized what is left of my cervix so hopefully I won't have to deal with that too many more times.
When all else fails, call the doc and ask, but I'm sure it's normal. I think alot of it has to do with your hormones too.

Re: mini period experiences - normal?
Thank you for your response! Did your Dr. give you the impression that these mini periods tend to fade away? I just stressed out this time around b/c it seemed a little heavier then the first few, so I worry they are just going to get heavier and heavier each month and I will be back to square one. My Dr. cauterized too, but guess it did not work for me...???

Re: mini period experiences - normal?
Hi
My doctor cauterized as well but I had my first mini period 14 days post op along with cramps, crying and a migraine. I wasn't sure at first if I was spotting because I was still so close to surgery and then my normal symptoms showed up. I had light to heavy spotting for 7 days.
The nurse told me that it could stay this way or go away after 3-4 periods. I have my first post op appt on Monday and plan on talking to the doctor about this. Gosh, I was really hoping to be one of the ladies that didn't have to deal with this.
I read on this site in a thread that 5-7% of women who leave their cervix experience the mini period .... LUCKY US!
Take care

JJ he did tell me that it will probably go away, but not to be scared or shocked if it doesn't. Everyone is different and their hormones are different. I hope you feel better soon!
