bleeding

16th day post-op of my hysto (uterus and cervix removed)
Im so sorry if this has been asked, but is bleeding still normal at this stage in the game?
Its not heavy, I dont fill a pad and dont have to change it as much as I am, but its still a pad so I dont want it on to long.
It seems theres more when I wipe after peeing, and usually a quarter or 2 size spots on the pad when I do change it.
Im afraid to call my GYN incase he indicates that something is wrong. Im still recovering and Im so worried he'll use the surgery word again LOL.
I had my period the day of my surgery, so Ive been wearing a pad since Aug 16th. Im done with these
TIA

Re: bleeding

Would definately contact your doctor. They will tell you if you should be concerned or not. It will ease your fears.

Re: bleeding

Thanks. Ill call. But I have been reading on here it can be normal.
Ill be honest, I think Im doing to much. The more I move around in a day, the more I bleed. Try to relax more this week.

Re: bleeding

I had what seems like the same bleeding you're speaking of, my doc said it was to be expected for 3 to 4 weeks out in my case. It stopped just before 3 weeks and then was just clear discharge for another week.

Re: bleeding

Thanks SVC. Sometimes its just a relief to hear someone say "me too". That has made me feel better.

Re: bleeding

I had similar bleeding to that for 4 weeks. Then I just had yellow discharge. I talked to my doc about it at 2 weeks and she said it was normal and to give it some more time. She told me all bleeding/spotting should be done by 8 weeks at the most (she told me this at my 6 week visit).
