I have a big decision to make
Hi everyone! I'm new here but thought this would be a great place to get some insight to the delimma in front of me. I am 36 years old and had an ectopic pregnancy in February of this year where both of my tubes were removed. My periods have gone haywire and are now extremely painful, terribly heavy and follow no schedule. I have PCOS and although my periods have always been weird (3 or 4 a year) after having my daughter they were very regular and like clockwork until after the surgery. My dr recommended an ablation but I am concerned that it won't work and I'll need a hystorectomy anyway. I called my dr and expressed that concern to which he replied we could do a hysto instead. Now as I'm reading on the Internet I see scores of women who have severe sexual dysfunction after the fact. I enjoy sex with my husband tremendously. I would be devastated if I could no longer achieve a full orgasm anymore or even worse not be interested at all ( my husband has called me his closet nympho since we began our relationship almost 20 years ago). I have an appt with my dr Friday to go over both procedures and ask him questions. Any tips? I want my life to be as much like it is now minus the pain and "murder scene" bleeding I have with my period. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
And thanks to poodle for directing me here. I know I am going to get a wealth of information and support.
