LAVH 6 week post hysterectomy check up

Well had my 6 wk check up today and Dr said I'm good to go. Normal activities and sex ok"ed. I feel better still have swells belly and gained a couple pounds from not enough excersise. I must say I am a little nervous about having sex for the first time ... Any one else have this fear? Advice?

This Wednesday is my 6 week mark. DH has been counting down.

I'm very nervous about it all. Lots of what if's. Our sex life has been horrible the last couple of years due to all these issues.

I have lube on hand, but if I can't relax it wont matter. He begged me last night for a 3 day advance. Sorry mister!

I think it's natural to be nervous. Most of us here seem to be. I was 6 weeks post op last Wednesday. I was very nervous! But DH was very gentle and kept asking me if I was ok during the whole time. And I was. We used plenty of lube, probably too much but it cut down on the friction. Weve done it everyday since then and I'm not really totally relaxed yet. Today he asked me if I wanted to try a different position or if I thought it would be uncomfortable we didn't have to. We tried it and I was fine. He has been very patient and supportive. The first time we had sex after the surgery I don't think he was ready because he asked me if I wanted to wait longer. He is squeamish like that. I initiated it and he was very cautious. It was fine. We have had zero issues! When you finally do it and know what to expect, what it fells like, you will be ok. Then you will get more and more relaxed each time.

Thanks I will take it slow and see how it goes! Glad to know I'm not alone with feeling nervous
