Finally have a date...

Yuck, I guess I probably will have to do the one-time phosphosoda the night before....blech. I had to do that in March for a colonoscopy...except, I had the whole day prep too...anyway.

Yeah, I called to check on the day and she told me, "Oh! I scheduled it for 10/3, is that okay??" Surprised me because she said 10/10 or 10/24...but, I'm anxious to get it over with. So, it's 10/3 with pre-op on 10/2.

Most of what I've read, say that doctors release you at about 2 weeks, but most of the personal experiences I've read say that 3 weeks is better. I'm not employed at the moment so thankfully, that's not an issue. That's another reason why 10/3 is better than any other day...I NEED a job..so I need this done ASAP

Anyway, I'm optimistic and I hope I'm not delusional Good luck this Friday with your visit to the castle. I hope it goes really well.

LSH was the best for me

I had the LSH on Friday 9/22/2006 the worst part I have to say was the sore back and shoulder on Saturday, which a heating pad help and the need for a root canal that didn’t occur before the LSH. Which the pain meds helped. This really is the best way to go. No incision no 4 to 6 weeks recovery. My DD has to remind me to sit down and take it easy as I just want to be back to my old self --like yesterday. I must admit I tire very easy, so I’m napping an hour or so two time a day, but I’m only 5 days out so that is ok. I also took the 10 days off from work. My advice don’t under estimate the LSH but know it’s no where near the pain or recovery. I judge the ‘pain by what I had in 1984 when I tied the tubes and removed a cyst via an abdominal incision, so the thought of going through that again was not on my top ten. Then I heard of the LSH and jumped at the chance to do my Hyst this new way.
