Scar revision ha! lopsided monster now
I noticed in the mirror that my belly is sooooo lopsided. When I had my pre-op appointment I talked to the Dr about doing a scar revision from my c-section. The Dr said we can do that. Now the right side is pulled up and looks decent ( I didn't expect a tummy tuck) the left side (which is where I have that "right side pain") is huge and hangs over way way way more than right side. It's almost as if they revised the right side but not the left side.
I feel like a monster!!

You're still failry early on in your recovery so my guess would be that it's still swollen. I would give it 6-8 weeks and then see what it looks like. My left side buldges on occasion (that's where my anchor stitch is), but it goes down... and then it buldges.. and then goes down again. You get the idea. I understand that it takes a long time for internal trauma to subside and not swell.

Thanks, Duchie. That's what's so wonderful about this sight, there is ALWAYS someone a couple of weeks ahead of you (in recovery) who has had the same procedure and can assure you that everything will be okay.

I can't explain it medically, but I can tell you what my doctor said. In my 2nd week of recovery I started having these horrible, burning & zapping pains about 3 inches to the left of my incision (they were always in the same spot). Since my recovery had been uneventful up to this point, I called my doctor. He said, "oh, that's your anchor stitch. It's one of the major internal supports". I also understand from reading the board that it also has to do with nerve ending reconnecting.
I'm almost 4 weeks post-op now (Wednesday) and I haven't had any zaps in quite awhile.

anchor stitch- where they did they final stitch of your muscles usually one on each side--
Usually where you get those pulls and stuff because it is a knot and the muscles contract over it and thats what you feel.
at least that was what I was told by my doctor.
Hope that helps
