Just need to vent
My surgery is scheduled for Jan. 31st. Just got a call from Dr office today that they need to change it to either Feb. 7 or 14. I told my husband and this is his exact words; "since your surgery is elective maybe they don't consider it a priority". I did not elect to have this surgery it is necessary. I really don't think that he gets it. He has not been very supportive through the whole process. Anyway, sorry I just had to see what you all thought about that.

Just need to vent
Unfortunately, unless it is life or death, I think hysterectomy is considered elective. I just heard a story on the local news hear this morning that the blood supply is so low here that the may be cancelling all elective surgeries until they get more blood donations. I'm glad that I've already had mine done.

I agree that surgery of this sort is elective. Of course unless it is life or death. With most of us it is a choice to live in pain or get it taken care of. I chose to get it taken care of, and thank goodness my dh was by my side. I really feel for you and send my 's No one deserves to feel the pain we feel and have their dh not understand. Hang in there and be strong. You need this surgery, sorry about the change of surgery date, i also had mine changed on me, which had me in bed on New Years Eve, i got to celebrate on drugs The best of luck to you and i hope dh realizes how important this is to you.
